Meet Ms.Lei
Hello! I’m Ms. Lei, I teach and help out with the younger keikis at the Art Tent Studio. I was born and raised here in Honolulu, and I am a student at Kapiolani Community College working towards my degree in Education. I was given the chance and opportunity to help out at Art Tent Studio after high school and was able to continue on till this day.
My Story
Before Art Tent I was always helping out with our Church’s Youth Summer Programs along with Ms. Zoe. And as I graduated High school, I was given the chance to help out till today. As I was used to working with younger kids, it was natural for me to help with the younger kids that were in our classes. As the months passed, I assisted alongside Ms. Zoe’s classes and Ms. Holly’s class, then Late 2023 I decided to try teaching. After that I eventually changed my Major from Nursing to Education. And now I’m Honored to be teaching and assisting at Art Tent Studio for the younger Keikis.
As a Future Educator and an Art Tent Teacher, I always look forward to working with the little artists and seeing their art skills grow throughout the few years I’ve been here. For one that didn’t pursue Art as a dream to achieve, I am also learning along with my students everyday. Every Semester our themes change throughout and I always look forward to seeing how each student brings their imaginations and skills to use and turn it into Art.
